Education Innovation Programs

Project Based Learning (PBL)

PBL is a dynamic approach where students undertake projects based on real-world context and problems, and implement their solutions beyond the classroom. The PBL process of inquiry- ideation- and feedback fosters independent learning, student ownership of his/her work, the development of 21st-century workplace skills.

Thus, they learn that what they do in the classroom can make a positive impact in the world at large.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Mano Amiga’s mission is to create more safe spaces for children through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Studies show that SEL increases academic achievement by 11% and decreases emotional distress by 10%. Having implemented SEL in Mano Amiga for almost 10 years, we have become a leading expert in SEL. Our teacher training programs aim to empower educators to integrate SEL principles in their schools so that students and teachers are able to process their emotions more effectively — enabling them to understand themselves and the people around them better.

Teachers Training

Our teacher training and coaching programs provide both and Public school teachers access to skills, innovation tools, and support they need in order to thrive in the 21st century landscape.

Raising Leaders

Raising Leaders is a comprehensive leadership and capacity-building program designed to empower youth participants, aged 15-18 years old, through targeted training and mentorship. By providing workshops, access to resources, and guidance, we aim to develop future leaders who can contribute positively to their communities. Additionally, the program offers scholarship and school placement support to selected participants, helping them pursue higher education and ultimately make a greater impact on society.

Raising Readers

The Raising Readers Program aims to enhance the literacy skills of twenty-five children aged 7 to 16 at Nayon ng Kabataan in Mandaluyong City through immersive and interactive learning experiences. The program incorporates storytelling, drama, arts and crafts, and interactive games to build essential reading, writing, and communication skills.

Play to Learn

This program has been the unique way of PVM to give daycare students from underserved communities their “mini-moments of happiness”. From implementing the program to the Lower School (Kindergarten-Grade 2) of Mano Amiga Academy the program has since expanded to the ECCD Centers of Taguig City. Which was done through teacher training, distribution of guide to meaningful play, and game days.

In 2025, more than 300 daycare workers in Taguig participated in the training, indirectly benefiting more than 14,000 children aged two to four. In addition, 135 daycare students directly participated in Game Days.

The STEM Link UP

The STEM Link UP, organized in partnership with 3M, has impacted over 500 students nationwide through online and on-ground STEM conferences across Luzon, NCR, Visayas, and Mindanao. Through hands-on activities, interactive sessions, and future-focused talks, the Summit makes STEM learning more accessible and inspiring, helping young Filipinos see themselves as future scientists, engineers, innovators, and changemakers. By reaching learners across the country, the program helps close exposure gaps in STEM education and encourages students to dream bigger about the futures they can build.

STEM Warriors Club

STEM has become a focus of Mano Amiga in recent years. With the Philippines consistently ranking low in math and science, there has been a need to further support the students learning in STEM. Through the STEM Warriors club, we are able to provide students ages 11-17 who want to explore the STEM world the support they need. Members will enjoy STEM challenges, meet-ups, conferences, field trips, and so much more. They will belong to a community and safe space of warriors where they can geek out and just be themselves.

Scholars Club

Scholars Club is a program designed to help scholars grow as thoughtful leaders and engaged members of their communities. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and activities, scholars develop leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills while exploring important social issues and community challenges. The club also provides opportunities for mentorship, career exposure, and values-based goal setting, helping scholars discover their purpose and prepare for future pathways. Volunteers can lead a Scholars Club session where they share their expertise, experiences, and skills with the scholars.
